Spring 2019 NOVA Peer Mentors

Every Spring, NOVA upperclassmen have the opportunity to serve as Peer Mentors to second-semester NOVA students enrolled in our GSD 225S Leadership and Service Learning course. Peer Mentors lead small groups of NOVA freshmen in the completion of a service-learning project within the local community. This course is designed to help build students' leadership and teamwork skills, while instilling in them the importance of service and civic engagement. This spring, we will be serving 10 organizations led by 11 amazing Peer Mentors:

  • Arcadian Cove Assisted Living; Peer Mentor: Josh Staples
  • EKU Scholar House; Peer Mentor: Lillian Vittitow
  • Habitat for Humanity for Madison and Clark Counties; Peer Mentor: Samantha Harris
  • Hope's Wings Domestic Violence Shelter; Peer Mentor: Jessica Baker
